Just 10 minutes' walk from the beautiful sandy beach and boasting stunning views across Praa Sands to the Lizard peninsula beyond, the handsome farmhouse at Pentreath Farm was once a staging post for the London stagecoach and now offers two very comfortable apartments. Peaceful and quiet, each apartment retaining original features in its recently converted interior and enjoying its own garden area, they sit beside the family run flower farm and an unobtrusive family camping field. The nearby beach sports a café and bar and fish and chip shop. Surfing lessons pick up from the farm and fishing trips can be arranged. Penzance, St Michael's Mount (N.T.), Minack open air theatre and Tate gallery at St Ives are all a short drive. Pub and shop ½ mile.

Location superb for sightseeing in west Cornwall. Fantastic views of Praa beach - a wonderful sandy beach with good facilities, within easy walking distance of the accommodation. Flat was clean and well equipped.

We normally book a caravan for our holidays. Having this cottage this year has been very good as the space in all the rooms and the security is far superior than any caravan that we have stayed in.

Located in Mount's Bay between Helston and Penzance Praa Sands is a coastal village in Cornwall, England, which is popular with surfers and tourists. It is not far from St Hilary, Sithney, and Poerthleven and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest cities are Truro and Plymouth.
Praa Sands (pronounced 'pray', not 'prar'...), in common with many places in Cornwall, used to serve the local mining industry, but now finds most of its income from tourism. It has a wide sandy beach, with shallow waters and there are a number of shops nearby. Pengersick Castle is known as being a 'haunted' castle (in fact it is claimed to be one of the most haunted in Britain) and as such holds a number of ghost related events and activities.
Praa Sands is also famed as being the location at which the Sunderland plane landed during the Second World War after a battle involving eight German plans in the Bay of Biscay. The pilot managed to guide the damaged plane 800 miles back from the battle and land it on the beach, where he and the crew were found by locals who gave them medical assistance. The event has been commemorated by the opening of a memorial on the green at Praa Sands in June 2013.
